siapa sih tak kenal kendaraan buatan eropa ini. sebelum kita sharing jenis  ini ada baiknya kita tahu  dulu 

sejarah awal nya nama ini dan bagaimana  sih awalnya. dia menjadi seperti saat ini.

SEJARAH DAN PERKEMBANGAN SCANIA

SCANIA AB adalah salah satu produsen truck, bus serta diesel ternama dari eropa.

Perusahaan ini didirikan pada tahun 1900 dg nama Maskinfabriks AB Scania (pabrik mesin PT. Scania) dikota Malmo Sewdia selatan.
Nama Scania sendiri sendiri adalah nama latin untuk Skane (negara Skandinavia)

Pada tahun 1911 Scania merger dg pabrik truck dan mobil lainnya yaitu Vagnsfabriks Aktiebolaget i Södertälje (VABIS) dari kota Sodertalje dan membentuk perusahaan baru yg bernama AB Scania - Vabis. setelah perang dunia kedua Scania-Vabis mengimpor mobil Volkswagen dari jerman dg bendera bernama "Svenska Volkswagen AB".

dan setelah mereka bergabung berubah lagi  lambang nya menjadi

 

dan akhirnya  berkembang lagi 

Tahun 1969 Scania-Vabis merger dg SAAB (pembuat mobil sedan), membentuk Saab-Scania AB dan perusahaan pengimpor VW-nya berubah menjadi "V.A.G. Sverige AB".

Ketika SAAB-SCANIA pecah pada tahun 1995 nama divisi truck dan bis berubah menjadi SCANIA AB

Pada tahun 1999, Volvo berusaha membeli Scania dg menggunakan uang yg didapat dari hasil penjualan Volvo Cars kepada Ford (lihat http://www.bismania.com/home/index.p...5&id=1512#1512). Namun Komisi Eropa menolak pengambil alihan ini karena akan memonopoli produksi truck di eropa utara.
Posisi terakhir June 2006, saham terbesar pemilik Scania adalah Volkswagen AG jerman (VW) 34.32% dan MAN AG 14.5% dan lainnya 19.3 %
